Bolt, will celebrate the heroes who have been on the front lines in the fight against Covid-19 on Mashujaa Day in an initiative dubbed #BoltHeroesDay.
The day of celebration was initiated to honor, appreciate and celebrate individuals for making altruistic decisions in the fight against COVID-19 and for their relentless and altruistic acts in the service of humanity and their communities during the pandemic.
To participate, people who follow Bolt’s social media pages will be able to honor a hero or heroine by naming them in honor of Mashujaa Day. It could be their mother, someone they admire in business, someone who does something to improve their life, or someone who positively touches a life in any form.
Those who are nominated and subsequently emerge as winners will be able to walk away with a month of race credits and a Bolt Heroes basket reserved for heroes.
Ola Akinnusi, Country Manager at Bolt, said: “The gallant acts of these people have saved lives and were heroic during this pandemic. They selflessly offered services to the population while putting theirs on the front line either as drivers, delivery people, essential workers or by offering any other service that left a mark of hope. We therefore join the country in celebrating these noble acts of humility, contributing to the socio-economic and national progress of a society.
